Im trying to install a application on the Palm Centro (verizon) with Palm OS v.5.x.x. I put the files on the SD card but I have no way to access the files when I am on the phone. I did not buy the $30 PC cable becasue that is an outrageous price. I did see the hotsync option and I was fiddling around with the Palm Desktop software and saw the option to install programs. I do not have a data package so I can't go online (technically I can but im not going to). So I was wondering if there was a way to install applications without the internet (on the phone), without the data cable, basically without anything besides the SD card and the phone that I just got this morning. Is there any way to wirelessly hotsync the phone without using the internet? I know I probably eliminated every option you had in mind and I bet I will probably just have to suck it up and buy PC Cable, but if there is any way to do it without the stuff that would be awesome.

  1. It doesn't. I had to download mine. Select My Centro from the Apps screen and under the Bonus tab, select and install Palm Files. After you install it, it'll be the Files icon in your Apps.

  2. Does Verizon use Windows Mobile... if so good luck... Most likely the worst OS in the smart phone market...They may be able to make it a Palm Os... at a Verizon store... Which will work out far better.

If not... I need more information on what you are trying to do.
