Does the President of Mexico Send Wedding Gifts?

I heard a rumor when I studied in Mexico that the President of Mexico has an office that is dedicated solely to receiving wedding invitations and sending out a gift as a reply. Am I making this up or should I send an invitation to President Calderon? If so, where?

Does anyone know what happens when you send the president of the United States and invitation?

The President of Mexico doesn't send out gifts, if you send him a wedding invitation you might get a telegramm congratulating you from his office, and that's if you're lucky.

You have to send an invitation card to the president and he will actually send you a present.

To your first question : you should send Calderón an invitation and see what happens. To the second question: Secret Service or Homeland Security at your door at 3:00 A.M., do you want that?

the president of mexico might just actually have that office for that specific reason.

when you send an invitation to US president, it gets searched and tested and etc etc.. he may never actually get it...
