  1. I love Torchwood, but cannot see the connection with the queen. I think your mums opinion would be more important to worry about

  2. Although I don't think that Touchwood is aimed at the OAP audience, if the Queen knew about it I'm sure she would be proud.

She rules over a country that has a diverse range of people from all over the word and where all are accepted.

She would be happy to rule a country where all sections of society were represented and where the media wasn't censored.

  3. The Queen probably does not even watch the "Doctor Who" spin off show "Torchwood", since she is a huge fan of the original show. The Queen has ordered a DVD box set of the latest Dr Who series for her summer holiday in 2005. She has become a huge fan of the hit BBC show starring Christopher Ecclestone - and she was hugely disappointed when the actor quit after his first stint as the Time Lord. Royal aides say the monarch is also a fan of the Daleks and she intends to while away August evenings watching the series at her Scottish residence.

The monarch has followed the show since it began in 1963 with William Hartnell as the first of nine actors to play the time-travelling hero. And Her Majesty rates Ecclestone as one of the best incarnations of the Doctor - despite his decision to quit. The Queen has also requested recordings of BBC comedy drama Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee for her annual trip to her Scottish estate.
