  1. her queenliness probably doesn't pay because all us common working people subsidise the load of spongers called the royal family

  2. All bills incurred by the Royals in the UK are paid for by the Parliament, and each month on top of the payment of bills the Parliament gives each Royal an "allowance" to spend as they see fit. So in essence the Royals don't pay their bills, the people do. Kinda like the other politicians of the world, they charge things and taxpayers pay the bill at the end of the month.

  3. do you think any of them lazy greedy  robbing bas'tards pay for anything .

  4. Dont be silly she pays nothing.

You the Brits supports her and all her offspring and she owns all that land that was taken from you british.

Do you really need her???or her elder son who cant dress himself??

What sort man is it that cant put his own cuff links on??

How the h**l can  he be a king when he cant even do a simple task such as dressing himself??

  9. why should she? after all would you want to be the queen i certainly would not  no private life having to go all over place never being able go or do anything, like you do now

god save the queen one of our major tourist industries

  10. yes they have a gas and electric meter ... she pays her council tax n water by direct debit ;)

  11. the queen pay nothing

  12. no we pay them for her'

  13. Since she's only half Scotch, it would be only half Scot-Free.

If they settled up accounts and the Queen lived off the Crown estates, you'd see a lot more charity donations, giving and helping of less fortunate.  But, the revenues of the Crown Estates go to the government and a fraction of what that is worth goes to the monarchy.

I believe up until around George I or II, the king financed the military and the government through the Crown Estates and taxes.

  14. no she doesent and if she does she pays it with the money we pump into the government with taxes and national insurance!!  She lives free and gets a whopper of a salary!!

Some people have the life of it dont they??

  15. The Queen is subject to indirect taxes such as the value added tax (VAT), but is exempt from income tax and capital gains tax. Since 1993, however, the Queen has voluntarily paid taxes on personal income. As the Civil List and Grants-in-Aid are used solely for official expenditure, they are not taken into account when calculating taxes.

The Privy Purse is the Sovereign's remaining private income, while the income is private, the Queen uses the larger part of it to meet official expenses incurred by other members of the British Royal Family. Only the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh receive payments from Parliament which are not reimbursed by the Queen.

The Monarchy has sometimes been described as an expensive institution, with Royal finances shrouded in confusion and secrecy. In reality, the Royal Household is committed to ensuring that public money is spent as wisely and efficiently as possible, and to making Royal Finances as transparent and comprehensible as possible.

Each year the Royal Household publishes a summary of Head of State expenditure, together with a full report on Royal public finances. These reports can be downloaded from this section. This section provides an outline of how the work of the Monarchy is funded. It includes information on Head of State expenditure, together with information about other aspects of Royal finances.
