  1. And what makes you such an honerable person to judge what a Christian is supposed to act like and when did you get to interview every Christian in the Republican party to arrive at this decision?

  2. No, not to me they don't,, no one does,,,but I guess it would depend on what your concept of Christianity is...

  3. It appears to me that the Republican party is the only one who is bringing new ideas for the people, The Democrats are about a social agenda only

  4. Christianity is one of the tools the GOP uses to sucker us for our votes. That's why they hijacked it.

  5. What are you talking about? They honor "thou shalt not kill" (Iraq) "Thou shalt not steal" (tax breaks for the rich), oh wait...

  6. The other way around, the fundys own the GOP.

  7. No party owns Christianity but Republicans as individuals give far more to charity than Democrats do.  So it seems individual Republicans apply it just fine..

  8. No.

But, Yo-Bama talks about his Christian faith over, and over, and over, and over...

  9. The republicans sure do act like they have a hold of it.  But they sure as h**l don't represent it.  Christianity is about affirming life in all forms, not just against abortion.  A true christian would like a president who is more about talking things out with people and finding peaceful solutions rather than just attacking because you feel like it.  Christians also have this thing about helping the less fortunate, not making the rich richer.  That is clearly what republicans do.  They love helping out big oil.  More major tax cuts for oil companies boasting record profits!  Makes sense to me!  Give the money to the people that already have tons of it.  I guess they need extra money to light their cigars with.

On the other hand, the dems don't have it all either.  No party has Christianity down to an art yet.

  10. If you are a TRUE Christian... Then you will more likely be a Republican! If you like to put on a show... You would more likely be a Democrat!

  11. No.  See the Reverends Sharpton, Jackson, and Wright.

  12. I know this doesn't really answer your questions, but I'm responding to some of the answers:

Do you guys research any of the garbage that you speak or do you just follow the liberal media and liberal college professors like sheep?  "Tax breaks for the rich"?  Why don't you give an example?  Because when the dems talk about this subject - do you know what they're referring to?  The dems want the rich to pay more taxes; they feel that the more you make the more tax you should pay.  Basically, you get punished if you make it big in this country.  Which is unfair (and I'm not rich, so I'm not being biased about this subject).  Everyone should pay the same percentage of taxes, but the dems don't want that to happen.  They want to tax the rich with extreme rates and tax corporations even more.  When corporations are highly taxed, we end up paying more for products, and since the corporations have less money, we get less wages and benefits.

Now to answer your question, no the republicans don't own the concept of Christianity.  No one does.  It's just that there are more Christians that are republicans.  And you need to be more specific when you say "... they sure have a hard time applying it".  If you're going to make this type of blanket statement, at least back it up so that you can get a proper answer.  Oh yeah, and by the way, being Christian doesn't mean being perfect.  It means that you believe in Jesus Christ.

  13. No, but Republicans are made up of more Christians because they believe in the right to life. Most Democrats believe that abortion is ok and should be sanctioned and financially supported with our tax money. I was a Democrat until I read a book by Ronald Reagan that told of his opposition to abortion. Then I became a Republican.
