Performers at the DNC:

the Black Eyed Peas

Kanye West

Stevie Wonder

Mos Def

Nick Cannon

Sheryl Crow

Performers at the RNC (scheduled):

Charlie Daniels

The Beach Boys

Gretchen Wilson

Sammy Hagar

Brett James

Greg Laswell

The Beach Boys are classic, but that's it. Democrats appeal much more to the 18-25 bracket simply because they're making an effort. The GOP is alienating young America with no effort. I have no idea who the RNC's marketing and public relations executives are, but maybe somebody should mention that Charlie Daniels is probably not the best way to go if you're trying to attract younger voters.

  1. Let's see.  Gretchen Wilson appeals to a younger crowd.  Charlie Daniels - I don't know where you hang out, but at the country dance club in my home town, the 20-somethings stampede the floor when the DJ or the band plays a Charlie Daniels tune.

There isn't anyone on the DNC's list that I or anyone I know would pay to see.  And ... so what?  I don't care who they hire to come entertain them, just like I don't care who the RNC hires to entertain their crowd.  No one goes to these conventions or watches them on tv to see the musicians.

  2. IF YOUR OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE-------THEN IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GROW UP AND SEE REALITY AND PUT AWAY YOUR PINK TINTED GLASSES . LEARN WHAT IS IMPORTANT ---MUSIC IS NOT A GOOD MEASURE OF WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO PUTTING AMERICA FIRST----------SOUND'S MORE LIKE A 2 YEAR OLD'S ------MINE---MINE-----MINE THAN A ADULT SPEAKING .

  3. Nope, but that migger Obama sure doesn't have any chance at this election thanks to himself and his uneducated supporters.

  4. Performers?  They don't need performers and neither does the DNC because the DNC has booze to keep their suckers entertained.  I can't stand alcoholics, that's why I'm not voting for Buttock Insane Obama.

    McCain IS our new president.

  5. So then, people should vote based upon the popularity of the musicians at the convention?

Hmmm.....why not base the vote on the same subjects as the Junior High School year book?

    Vote for;

    Best eyes.

    Cutest smile.

    Best hair.

If politics are to be relegated to trivial aspects as to which celebrities back which politician, then why even have debates?

And why even look at the voting records of the candidates?

I vote for Jon Bon Jovi, best eyes, cutest smile, best rock band.

For VP? I vote for Ritchie Sambora, for 'cutest girlfriend'.

Your post, reveals the lack of depth, of the media, and the pop culture.

It is not, who has the best band, it is who has the best stand.

Obama, has voted along the 'old boy network' of Kennedy and Biden, for 95% in his short political career.

    "Change We Can Believe In?"

    Not quite.

Barack, is like a tool in Kennedy's and the Dems back pocket.

The most amazing thing? They have manipulated his lack of experience, through clever propaganda, to present him as a maverick.

He is nothing of the kind.

    Test it.

Look at Obama's, Kennedy's and Biden's voting records, at the 'washington post'.

I guess, in a nutshell, your post is the best reason on earth to raise the minimum voting age to at least 25.

For if you base your decision, on the bands at the conventions, you are obviously too inexperienced, to take on the awesome responsibility of voting in the US.
