I think that firefox is better than safari because they open things quicker and the games seems to work more. BBC iplayer dosn't shut down on it. You are most likley to get a virus from safari

Yes,  the Safari browser does support add-ons.  As with any software available on the Internet, just be careful where you obtain your downloads.
