  1. The lines at the TKTS booth look really long, but they move incredibly fast. I've gotten in line at 7:40 pm and been in my seat in the theater by 8. You can look at the TDF website to see which shows have been available at the booth in the past week, which will give you some idea of what might be available when you go.

  2. Because "In The Heights" won the Tony for best musical, I do not believe you'll be able to get great seats especially via TKTS. TKTS only gets tickets from shows that do not sell out and "In the Heights" is not one of them. If you really want better tickets, you can do this:

Lottery Rush: $26.50 - a set number of front-row seats for each performance, sold via a lottery system. Each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Only one card is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to the performance. For Tues-Sat 8:00pm performances, cards are available at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm drawing. For Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances, cards are available at 11:30am for a 12:00pm drawing. For Sunday matinee performances, cards are available at 12:00pm for a 12:30pm drawing. For Sunday 7:00pm performances, cards are available at 5:00pm for a 5:30pm drawing.

Good luck and enjoy "In the Heights"!
