Everything seems to be unravelling faster and faster.

Even by the standards of our "gob-on-a-stick"politicians things seem to be totally out of control.

Starting to make the "last days of Rome" look like an organised event,

  1. We have a Government lead by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and thats why we are going *its up in this Country,

  2. Things are under control now that the politicians are on holiday and matters are in the hands of permanent civil servants. The trouble will begin again when the holidays end.

  3. No...it's a Circus with a Chimp and a bunch of donkeys.

  4. Of course, Harriette Harperson's in charge. God help us all!

  5. Yes we have a government, just a poor one that i hasn't actually done anything in about five years. Talking doesn't stop the economy going into free fall, and it doesn't stop hundreds of people freezing to death in the winter because they can't afford their fuel.

Perhaps the similarities with the last days of rome are a warning - the end of civilisation? maybe we're getting close. Increasingly people can't afford food, energy, housing etc. on a national and global scale. The more complicated a civilisation the more likely it is to fall....

  6. I  do not believe anymore in a Party government . Best to vote for a Politician who can stand up for His Constituents .Never vote for Faith group candidates .

  7. LOL  glad I got out when I did - been down under now for nearly 2 years. Best move I ever made.

  8. Yes we do

    It just fails.

  9. It does, it's called a totally dozy Labour government that has lost its authority. I think this country desperately needs a Conservative Government.

  10. Its a mess at the moment, and i do feel it will only get worse they have passed the point of no return with the electorate.

As long as Brown doesn't call a general election to put the party out of it's misery it will a very public and humiliating death for them :)

  11. I don't think panicking will help.

Most of us who read... have known the current political and financial conditions were coming.  There were 7 economic crisis' in the twentieth century...this is the first of the twenty first century.  Not a big surprise really!  In fact...slightly overdue!

In 1990 the 'western' world was crowing over the victory of capitalism and the 'defeat' of communism.  The assumption was made that if one was wrong, then the other must be right!  How wrong can an entire culture be!!!

18 years living high on the hog on money we didn't have...and allowing politicians to make their hay while the sun shone...and throwing away 25% of our food while driving stupid 4X4's, flying everywhere and allowing the destruction of our planet to be subsumed to the level of a documentary subject???...

Sure.  It's all the fault of the 'gob-on-a-stick' politicians...we have no responsibilty.   Do we...?

  12. We have a Prime Minister with a massive energy department who said last week "People are concerned with the rising costs in Fuel and Food and we understand their concerns I believe we are the party to carry them through these difficult economic times" Exactly one week later British Gas says "Gas supplies are to rise 35% " oh good job Gordy thanks for seeing me through that . The thing is he didnt have a clue what was around the corner. What a set of  dummies

  13. nt botherd i hate any government or politician with their rules, regulations, organisation and left brain ideas GRR they accomadate the world to their own comfort, which is boring, dull, makes people mad, 'robot like' and arrogant their pigs
