  1. well it all depends they do have Sailors guarding detainees on some places they have the brown water sailors riding the rivers, and of course they have EOD, SEALS, Corpsman also. They also augments Sailors in with Army units. so good luck.

  2. Only When you are an RP(FMF), HM(FMF) a SEAL, constructionman, EOD, or SWCC

  3. Unless you have a MOS like Sea bee or Seal or EOD then your chances are nil. But you will be on ships transporting Marines to those places.

  4. yes.  we have ships guarding the oil platforms as well as people on the ground rebuilding and augmenting the Army.  

    and for the other answerers: my DH is none of those ratings and he is about to go over there(ground) and spent 4 months on a ship a few years ago  tracking oil smugglers and guarding the platforms.  .

  5. nope, i doubt that would ever happen unless your a Corpsman or part of DEVGRU
