Does the US Postal Service put packages on your doorstep if they don't fit in your mail box?

also I checked the confirmation and it says it was delivered. So that means the person had to be home or they left it on the doorstep?

  4. No, they leave you a notice telling you what post office it has been stored at and what hours you can pick it up.
