Currently China has 22 gold, and US has only 10, could the US catch up? I know that the track and field part hasn't even started yet, do you think the US will do well in that? Thanks.

  1. I don't know about the gold medal count, but certainly the all around medal count.

  2. Don't know. Don't care.

  3. Of course! We are a factor year in and year out, and although there is no denying the Chinese went all out for this year to be so special, USA will still win. One of China's weak areas is track & field, an area the USA particularly excels! Now 12 golds is a large margin, but it's the overall medal count that matters most (to me anyways), and the US is currently ahead by 2 medals. I don't expect America to surrender the Olympic medal count to anyone including China anytime soon. Go USA!

  4. prob china only has Liu Xiang other than that the entire team will pretty much be in the stands so yea the US has a chance

  5. international standards only counts the gold medals and not all around. You have been misinformed by Yahoo censorships. Lets just hope US track and field athletes dont cheat for this year like they did last olympic

  6. Yes, of course.

Just wait until track & field...USA is going to OWN big time.

I predict that USA will increase their overall medal count and possibly gold medal count significantly once track & field begins.
