I know that most basic drug tests don't test for hallucinogenics since tests for that type of drug usually include spinal taps.. is there a possible way that the US military could test for hallucinogenic use without using a spinal tap?

  1. They can, especially if they believe there is reason for suspect.

  2. when you join, the understanding is they own you period. lockstock and barrel...yes,if suspected, they can and will test you .

  3. they are the military - they believe the own your mind and your soul.  They will test for what they like.  As far as I am aware spinal taps are not the only way to test for hallucinogenics.

  4. If the troops use it, the military will find it. You can't fool uncle sam, and there is always someone with enough honor to report misuse.there are tests for urine and blood and hair samples that can analyze samples and give a read out on what is present in a person.
