Does the USA have moral authority to comment on Russia's annexation of Georgia?

As the left usually "forgets" Iraq invaded Kuwait and Kuwait requested our help against the unprovoked aggressor. Did that slip your mind?

And please, explain what smaller country we've invaded with the intention of annexing it into the US? I don't think Iraq is going to be the 51st state.

As for the UN. That is a neutered, spineless, worthless, outdated jumble of political BS that the US should pull out of. It's simply a b*tch session that the US has to foot the bill for. Name one thing the UN has independently accomplished in the past 20 years. You're right, nothing.

The United States went to the UN and presented its case over Iraq BEFORE we invaded.

Russia did not do this when they invaded Georgia.

Now once again who has no respect for the UN?

The recent attack on Iraq was a continuation of the first Gulf War in the early 90s.   In that first war, the US was defending an ally.. Kuwait.  The second war only came after over a decade of failures in diplomacy. Iraq continued to defy the requirements they agreed to at the end of the first Gulf war.

It's quite a different situation than what's going on with Georgia, for which I don't recall much attempts at diplomacy by Russia. Plus Georgia is a US ally.
