Question:

Does the USMC still use the M60?

and if so is there a MOS for it? im looking into infantry and that wepon really interests me.

  2. M60 has been replaced with the M249B.  There's no specific MOS for it, as each squad is assigned one.  Although it is fun to shoot, you won't be so eager to have it once you realize you gotta lug it around everywhere you go.

    the SAW is not the replacement

    you would enlist as a 0300 and request 0331 (Machine gunner)

    you would be placed in the heavy weapons platoon

    you may also shoot MK 19 grenade launcher (one of the meanest weapons systems out there)

    also the .50 cal machine gun (Ma deuce)

  4. Yeah the M-60 is long gun out of the USMC armories. 249 and 240 have now replaced it.

  5. As far as I know,the USMC is almost finished in their program reffiting their fire squads with the M-249 SAWs,but considering the relatively low rate of upgrading equipment compared to their army counterparts,there may still be a small portion of M60s in operational status.
