  1. The UN has long been a lapdog with no real power to speak of.  Dissolve it.

  2. as long as it has a positive impact on the world..it's amount of power doesn't really matter

  3. This sounds a lot like the whole Goldilocks addage.  Honestly, I believe that the UN has just the correct amount of international influence.  In the international system, the state (nation) is the ultimate power, weilding influence over its people and having a monopoly of force.  But, the UN as an international organization does hold some power in influencing states decisions by attempting to build an international concensus.  The UN has exactly as much power as the states that consist of its make-up give it.  Of course, they would never let it become powerful enough to threaten or deminish the power they hold over their own, sovereign territory.  But, it does have an important influence in establishing better trade relations, working out international disputes over a variety of issues, and building cooperation.

I think the UN should keep the same amount of power that it has.  It serves the purpose that it was designed to do, which is to increase international security and cooperation.  While it may not be the best vehicle for doing so to some people, it is still effective at a broad range of issues.

  4. Too much power

  5. too much.  the UN is power hungry...too much power can be destructive..

  6. The UN was designed after WW2. It wasn't designed for power over any other country. It was designed for an alliance of countries if any one tried to be super powered to beat them up. The most powerful nation in the world is the United States that is because we've spending  a lot of many on defense even after the cold war. when they we're arguing to minimize the budget 9/11 happened and the fund increased more.the UN should have power but it's not going to have much power than U.S in near future. i don't want that either.

  7. The UN is dream of one world government fascists.

  8. Not enough.  All countries should contribute money and troops to the UN.  The UN should have the strongest military force in the world and it should actively break up conflicts and keep the peace throughout the world.

  9. They are just a lapdog to powerful globalist politicos.

  10. It should be dissolved. It is nothing more than a soap box used by tin horn dictators to spew thier idiocy and soak the US for cash.

  11. if we believe in democracy then we should support them..

The U.N. has the potential to bring democracy to people that want it, replacing military dictatorships

    police human rights violations

One country one vote is democratic....
