Does the Wii councel need to be turned on to recharge the batteries ?

Yesterday I purchased the recharger from Radio Shack and the directions says that the charger plugs into the Wii and I was wondering if the Wii has to be on for it to recharge the remote?

i don't think you need to turn on the wii for it to charge because it already has power going through the wii so the remotes will charge without the wii being on i think.

idk, i take it you have one of those resting plat thing where you dock your Wii and Controllers right?

i think the wii doesn't have to be on   just plugged in  and put the controllers in  The controllers will charge weather the wii is in use or not

you might as well get an Xbox 360, it's much more worth it. Wii games aren't in HD, any fighting games suck, you have to move your body all around when the whole point of video games is to play when you are tired, like after baseball or something, and it's all "family friendly". There are way better games on 360 and Xbox Live has the best online experience. It's all together better than any system out right now.
