Does the Wii "Perfect Shot" Pistol work for Metroid Prime 3?

I mean, do you have to click A or 1 or 2 or The D-Pad a lot? Should I get it with the game?

All the gun peripherals only work well with on rail shooters, like Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and House of the Dead 2 + 3

normally a is the shoot button but you can switch it from a to b. u need the minus button to switch visors and the 1 button to use phazon. it wont work
