Question:

Does the X trainer use more cals than jogging? ?

It's just that when I'm on the cross trainer it tells me that I have used loads of cals when it doesn't feel as if I'm working that hard, but when I'm on the running machine it seems like more hard work but it says on the machine I've hardly used any cals.

Should I listen to my body and decide on what it feels like, than the machine tells me?

  1. Like Im Fat And Have Dislocated Both of My Knees So Ts Hard And They Will Hurt After Just 2mins But I Can Go For Bout 14 Mins And Burn Round 80 Cals..When I Go Out For A 45 Min Walk With My Dogs I Burn Bout 140 Cals or Summin So I Would Say Cross Trainer Is Better And it Works All Your Body

Its Actually Been Like Proven That A Cross Trainer is Much Better Than Most Other Things

  2. Jogging is better because you have to physically lift your legs up and use more muscles throughout your body, whereas the x trainer justdoes it for you really. I always thought the treadmill burnt more cals...maybe you're not doi it fast enough? What speed do you usually run at? I change my speed every 20mins so I go from 5.6-5.8-6.0 and then at 2min intervals so I get up to 8. It says I burn about 150kcals per 10mins.

You could either increase the incline or increase the speed to burn more kcals.

    Hope this helps

  3. i find that i burn more cals in 15 mins on the x trainer than 15 mins on treadmill, plus i'm less bored on the x trainer so i can do it more.
