  1. NO.

    I was already mad.

Have been mad for a long time,

  2. Yes! It always says i have too much punctuation! It's so annoying, and the 'tips'?! I think we know how to write a sentence, otherwise we wouldn't be on here! It's really annoying, and it's constantly changing at the side of my screen while I'm trying to write an answer! It's really annoying!!

Ha ha, your not alone! even now it's saying "hmmm... looks like you have alot of punctuation" Do I really care?

  3. Yes, I hate it! I wish there was some way to deactivate it. I find it very intrusive.

  4. and it doesnt spell properly itself - and tells me i am yelling if I use initials and gets awfully upset if I miss apostrophes.... it drives me crazy,

  5. I like that it offers me swear words as suggestions to my spelling errors.

As if I didn't swear enough already ;)

Hmmmmmmmm it looks like I have a lot of punctuation.

    So bloody what!!!

  6. yeah its useless.... i love your name btw ted is a legend!!

  7. Yes - I wish they would f off !

  8. Annoying!

Oh well, I trust my own handy friendly dictionary instead.

    Cheers!

  9. Sometimes helpfull, but who the h**l it is, I just type what i want to type..

    hekkkk....hekkkk....hekkkkkk...17 mistakes

  10. No.

    Don't think so.

    It does help.

When one is having poor vision without glasses.

In shaking and waking one up.

    Good idea too.

    What do you think?

  11. I always seem to have too much punctuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. I never bother to use it.

  13. Only when it keeps popping up when I am only half way through typing a word, as for the :) :) punctuation :) :) love it when it says that.

  14. On the scale of my current concerns, the spell checker is well off the radar.

  15. I just ignore it.

  16. If you want a 'tip' here you go ...........

Just type you answer as you would have under the previous system, post your answer and then press 'edit' and use the 'spell checker' there and re-post your 'edited' answer.

  17. It recommends swearing, which is silly considering those words just get censored.

And it keeps trying to tell me I use too much punctuation.

  18. It's completely annoying. Answers are supposed to be from real people. "Real People", don't often speak and write in the correct textbook fashion.

Now, we have to contend with the grammar police. This site is not as much fun as it once was.

  19. It drives me  insane. I find myself swearing at it.

  20. no,

  21. Yes.

It makes no concessions at all for people who are rubbish typists. It´s in your face at every step of the way. Takes me long enough to type two error free sentences without seeing "ooops" and "hmmm" all the time.

Always popping up and having a go at my punctuation!!!

I´m an English teacher so Sod Off spellchecker.

  22. oh yes!

  23. Yes, it is very annoying.  With the old version of spellchecker, if I wasn't sure of a word I would simply check it after finishing my piece.

This new one is far too intrusive, often also interjecting when not warranted.  It's doing it right now.

A case of bad programming, not taking the end user in to account.

  24. its driving me round the f****** bend its tells you there is a spelling mistake when you there isnt , it tells you off for using punctuation it s a pain in the butt they should left things as they were  it was much better

  25. It's an idiotic pile of nonsense!

  26. Not so much the spell checker... however, 'it looks like you have a lot of punctuation,' which it is showing me now, ignores the grammatical fact that it's all actually meant to be there!

I can only assume it's been designed by an IT genius with a limited grasp of the English language.

Yahoo manage to annoy me on a daily basis, normally by the complete ineffectiveness on the 'spam filter' but they still neglected to answer my query as to why spam was being delivered to my email account when it wasn't actually even addressed to my email address.

    Useless bunch of wasters.

  27. Much worse than the last system, which was bad enough, now it keeps wanting to split words into two parts as well as persisting in using the American bastardisation of the English language.

  28. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    take that checker
