i'm looking at buying a 2006 suzuki katana 600. they are air cooled engines and i'm afraid that the heat in texas would possibly make the bike run hot or burn up.

  1. They ride them in Australia...     100degrees F  plus.. & no problems..........

  2. it's true it will run hotter then the typical liquid cooled one would, but the engine is designed to gain sufficient cooling from air alone, it wouldn't face the same problems a liquid cooled engine with low or no fluid would experience.....

in short, even in texas it will be fine.

  3. no check your coolent and thermostat isnt sticking
