Does the anime series Solty Rei continue past episode 24(not including ova's)?

i have just finished watching the series but the ending , to me, seemed like another episode would follow it and then truly end it.

i was wondering if there was more to the story. Like if the manga continued and the anime stopped or something like that.

No, it just ends there.  No OVAs, and the manga started post-anime with only one Volume.
