Question:

Does the animosity of the internet make people show their TRUE colors?

This is a very strange concept to me.... but i am starting to beleive it's true, do people have different faces in dealing with others in real life.... and are they free to show these faces more on the Net....?

To make my point clearer.... shy timid people in real life act as outgoing and loud with their opinions and point of views on the net........ Decent, respectable humans in "real" life, acting obnoxious or flirty or even ranting and venting out negative emotions on the net............ Some even go to the extent of opening different accounts one for their "proper image" and the other for "one of their hidden faces"????

Pls comment.... Thank you.

  1. I think you might mean anonymity not animosity ...yes , I believe it does with some people !

Those who take some perverse pleasure out of reporting others & trying to disrupt categories because they can do it without showing their faces would no doubt think twice if their identities were revealed to all..

Also it is easy to abuse , belittle , disrespect etc etc for the same reason..

  2. I think people are a whole lot less shy inside the cyberspace than they really are because there isn't that embarrassment when you say hi to someone you don't know and outside cyberspace you can hardly start a conversation with someone you don't know out of the blue, But I do think that people show their true nature on the internet because of it's animosity

  3. yes i know what you mean and i really wondered the same, but i think i try to reflect my inner me, so what you read is what you get :)

  4. I don't know.. I'm honestly acting the same way as I would anywhere else.. I mean.. I'm not a perfect person.. I have my venting out bitchy days and I also have y nice friendly days but overall I believe I'm a good person.. I never deliberately attempt to hurt anyone and I try to stay positive and compassionate. On the internet I care less about what people think but that doesn't mean I become the opposite of who I really am in real life. I might be a little bolder but still me!

  5. I think it does hinder people's social lives. Being online allows one to express themselves anonymously, without the worry of embarrassing yourself in front of people you know. You just need to distinguish the difference between real life and your internet persona, so you know how to behave in both settings.you have to balance out

    ; )

  6. Another great question, and of course its you Hope who is asking.

I will tell you my experience on this issue, I think I can show my feelings more online, I'm little bit shy in the real life, and maybe i act here different , but trust me hope, my heart is the same online and offline, I mean I hold towards you all pure love feelings, I consider you and many of our friends as my family and more I swear,

But I always think i will be little bit different when meeting u all face to face, but when I met my Lebanese friends and Egyptians too, I found myself first very shy, but after few seconds, its like we all lived together for years and as we know each other since long time,

You know what is one of my great dreams? Its when I got married , I wish to see you with N & N and kalooka with his family, pinka, farah, arabian dune, 7oda, ismaily, gigi, adhoma and sweety, zoser, OFCOURSE AA and her lovely family, shalfat, nada & noha, Egypty, Katie, crazy girl, moonrise (if she accept to come lol), balsam, 7ala, alisar, and all our friends (sorry if i forget someone), And ALL MY LEBANESE CATEGORY FRIENDS,

If this dream happens , I will leave my wife and come to sit with u all,

From my heart: I wish you all the best for you my friends and for your families, and to live with happiness and success and GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  7. YES;-p

  8. Comment?

    OK i'll talk freely ok?

I agree with every single word u said and i was wondering yesterday about a member that i sent an e-mail then he/she replied from another account then he/she changed the nickname after discovering it was a mistake :D

I think most of those who have different accounts do this to thumb their answers up or give themselves best answers to reach level 2 at least :D

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh donia

BTW, don't ask me who is that member coz i won't tell u :p

    Di asrar 3omala :D:D

  9. Yes many people are shy in real life since the internet gives them coverage so they can say whatever they want and which they can't say in real life due to shyness, law and order and simply due to other reasons.

Yes some people try to be other people and do stupid things which is kind of annoying I really hope they stop and be themselves and treat other users like they treat other people in real life.

  10. I agree with you completely. Reading some of the stuff on here makes me think that if they behaved like that every day their name would be on their very own hospital room.

  11. *****No, be anonymous brings out negativity IMHO!  They can say what they want and know they'll never be called on it!!!

  12. the word 'animosity ' is misleading here .

the fact is that people on the phone or in the internet can hide their true nature .

i say' can' not  always do that.

therefore , it isnt wise to fall in love with a person you know on the phone or in the internet .

thanks Reiko for considering to invite us to your wedding.

but dont think you can leave the chair beside your bride to sit with us !

  13. its much easier to deal with others on the internet than real life.. so the one who's shy, shows bravery in speaking just like you said..

its like wearing masks.. just like boys who pretends to be girls and making friends with other girls, they just sick.

or they feel much safer to take to someone they dont see.

or dealing differently to earn your trust or respect, though you might meet them in real life and they are just the opposite of what they are showing
