Does the army pay for you to go back home after a chapter 8?

I was told by a few fellow soldiers in my unit that its army regulation to send you back where you came from after a chapter or discharge. i am 13 weeks pregnant and have chosen to get out of the army because my husband will be deployed when our child is born. and they told me my unit was deploying 3 months after i have my baby. so no thank you my child is going to know one of its parents.

yes the army is required to send u back home.....

great choice on getting out, your child needs a stable home that the Army will not provide.

They will send you back to your home of record. They will not send you to another location however.
