  1. For most things, yes, i'd say so.  in my family it is speculated that a great-great grandmother of mine probably was of east asian descent. (based on a photo)

Although generations of "white filtering", every now and then someone will ask "are you part asian by any chance?"

My dad who would be a 4th generation Asian has blue eyes/blond hair except his eye shape definately does resemble that of an asian.

Also, most Asians are generally regarded as having less harier bodies than people of other ethnicities. my dad tells me all the time how he would never have enough hair follicles balanced throughought his face to grow a "full" beard.

My grandfather (3rd gen) on the other hand does not look asian at all. (hazel eyes, dark but not black hair, european shaped eyes) so the trait for eyes could be recessive somehow.

my great great grandmother and her german husband's son (2nd gen.), looked pretty white though. He had a long european like face, but he did have smaller eyes and dark features.

Judging solely on my family history, it seems the trait for asian eye shape and high cheek bones is somewhat recessive while features like dark eyes, and dark hair are for the most part dominant.

Oh yeah, I'm the only one in my family from that specific lineage who grew over 5'8 which is pretty bizzare (i'm 5'11). The asian gene for height has got to be dominant.

As for me personally; dark brown hair, hazel eyes, the shape of my eyes i think is pretty European, but like i said sometimes people see a little asian n' me
