i got a perscription for cialis, and got it filled at the pharmacy, but it cost alot $16 per pill because they said the government doesn't subsidise the drug. i got a health care card from centrelink that i have used and gotten perscription drugs with for like $4.50 when they should have cost $90. my question is does the government subsidise any ED drugs? is there any way to get the cheaper? are any generic cialis avaliable in australia?

  1. No. None are subsidised. Pity really... cause they are expensive and it is for your well being. You can record the amount you spend and after a couple of grand I think that if you have private insurance you can claim the excess as a tax deduction agasint your income.

I think viagra is $66... same price per pill but only 4 hours effective instead of 24. Anyway.. it's the same price of a pizza... so how much spice do you want!

  2. Nope, they only subsidise it for a couple of very specific conditions, not for normal ED. They used to but it got too expensive. I have never seen any generics of any of the ED drugs. I don't think the patent is old enough to allow them yet. Some of the big bulk pharmacies have slightly cheaper prices. It is worth shopping round but it's still expensive.
