Does the checkmark by sent txt messages always mean it was delivered ?

I know the checkmark means the txt was deliverd but ive sent txt's to my friends phone and she said she never got it even when there was a checkmark by the sent txt so im just wondering is it always for sure that the txt was delivered even when thers a checkmark

yes when the checkmark is beside the text that means it was delivered to their phone. i had a friend that told me that and then i called my phone store saying my texts werent going through when really, all of them went through. so yes your texts are delivered when the check mark is beside them
