  1. NO. However, venous blood is darker than arterial blood.

  6. The color of your blood - how red it is - changes with how much oxygen it is carrying.

    Arterial blood has more oxygen than venous blood, so it it brighter red.

    Most of us saturate our hemoglobin pretty well - in the 95-100% range - so our blood is close to the same color in our arteries.  We extract different amounts depending on what we're doing, so what's left in the venous blood can be significantly different from person to person, and even within the same person at different times.
