Does the continental slope drop downward. AND IS IT CONSIDERED A BOUNDRY LINE?

  1. There can´t be YES or NO asking two questions.

    1. Continental slope is the sea ground geologically belonging to the continent and yes, it drops somewhere downwards.

    2. In a sense yes, but certainly not the border of any given state or country. An international treaty regulates in a very complicated way special rights of adjacent countries.

    BTW: it is officially called the continental shelf.

    P.S. Yes or No isn´t an answer - it is a c**p.

    P.P.S. There are not simple answers to intricate questions.

There is a boundary line called a Continental Divide.  It is defined by watershed.  The major contenental divide in the US runs along the Rocky Mountains.  Water to the east of the divide drains to the Atlantic, or Gulf of Mexico.  Water on the wast drains to the Pacific, or to the Sea of Cortez.  Minor divides split the water between the Atlantic, and the Gulf, etc.

    Sorry, but if you do not want the other c**p, you are not much of a student.  Facts alone do not make an education.  You need to understand them.
