because i heard he was a little cheeper priced but a REALLY good surgon

  2. Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

  3. You will learn about the breakdown of your cost when you go for the preliminary exam. They will also determine at that time if you are eligible for the surgery. There are many components that factor into the price. As for the cost, a patient of mine saved $2,000 on his lasik surgery by getting himself a 2020vision4less membership.

  4. That is a high Rx, but not abnormal at all.  I have done surgery on people that were a minus 22!  LASIK surgery is a BIG deal, just like any other elective surgery.  Tips for you...in most cases..you get what you pay for.  If its cheap, there is a reason.  Make sure to ask these questions:  Is your laser stationary?...Never go to a center where their laser is brought in on a truck once a month.  What type of laser do you have?  Should be a Visx S4 or newer or a Wavelight.  Bausch and lomb lasers have good results but have had some recalls.  If you have surgery on an old laser...your vision will not be as good.  How many surgeries do you perform a month?  If they do less than 30 or more than 80(160 eyes)...run like the wind ...you don't want inexperience or cattle call.  $3500 is ludacris.  with a -6 Rx you shouldn't have to pay more than 2500 Per eye for the best surgeon around.  If you are male you should wait until you are at least 21. too many physical and hormonal changes until then, you can really lose your money.  If you are female, not as risky after 18...until you have children.  Women are notorius for having Rx changes with pregnancy due to hormonal shifts.   This brings you to "touchups".  NEVER pay for enhancements.  If the surgeon is reputable, they will be free for life or atleast the next 1-5 years.  Everyone heals differently , but if it is going to regress it will do it in the first year usually.  Hope this was helpful

  5. unless you get a specialized procedure you probably will pay a cost somewhere in the standard range between 1000 and 3000, but don't go for the cheapest cost as you don't want to mess with your eyes, its not worth it.

  6. Those are the questions you need to discuss with the doctor when you go in for your appointment.  They can tell you the price per eye, which is usually around $2000 each, as well as showing you the process and healing.  As far as whether it'll be effective the rest of your life, well, I think that's still to be determined.  I've heard of people who have had to go back to have their eyes redone, and I've heard of people who didn't.  I think it might depend on the individual as well as the health of their eyes.

  7. No, the pricing differences with the type of machines used.
