Does the customers who go to h**l's Kitchen pay for their food? Gets paid to eat? or eats for free?

I am an avid fan of this show but always wondered how they deal with customers. Gordon seldom takes their criticism and given the quality of food they serve, and his attitude towards them, there would have been 50 lawsuits against the program by now.

So anyone knows the answer?

The guests actually get paid for eating during these episodes we watch. Its like being a extra in a movie, they have to sign a release form to be on television. Good question though I wondered this same question before I did googles of research.

I've wondered this as well, I think they get to eat for free.

I also wonder if in the pizza challenge they tipped the driver or if they were ordered not to if they didn't.

When the Chile's by my old house opened, the managers went around to businesses and gave out free vouchers for a 'test night' the only thing you had to pay for was alcohol and dessert not on the menu if you ordered it.

I hear it's very hard to get in h**l's Kitchen during shooting.  You have to know people.  But you get paid.

they have to pay for their food of course but when they leave i assume they want it back and get it back
