Does the cut of deployments from 15 mos to 12 apply to those already in Iraq?

my husband is there, has been since oct of 06. i need to know if my classes need to be switched from classroom to online courses as we are not stationed here? i also DON'T NEED your political bs. i support my husband as well as all troops fighting for this country! thanks

  1. No, it only applies to those deploying on or after 1 August 2008


  2. they will still be there for all 15 months. It will only be troops going to iraq from now on that will be stationed there for 12 months.

  3. No it idoes not. If your unit is deployed into combat after Aug 1st 2008 its a 12 month deployment..If the unit was deployed before Aug 1st 2008 then the 15 months still stands. This is per the e-mail sent out to all D.O.D. Military. This is not classified information so you can find more online.

  6. yes,my bf went to iraq in oct of 07 and was suppose to come home in dec and as of now he should be home middle of oct. i just realized you said oct of 06 thats almost 2 years.
