  1. NO!  This is a myth.  The hemisphere you are in will determine the direction a cyclone spins (hurricanes turn counter-clockwise in the north).  Your drain/toilet are far too small for this to happen.

A sink can drain in either direction.

  2. In a perfect system, it would. However the shape of the plumbing fixture has far more effect on the way the water drains.

  3. Yes, in the northern hemisphere it swirls counter clockwise but in the southern it goes clockwise.

  4. Yes it does, it even applies to the energies of people if you are in the way using crystals to learn the source of your own energies.

  5. Well, the reason why it swirls down isn't the same but water DOES swirl around the earth. This is caused by winds, the pressure of the water (Warmer areas have water with lower pressures, thus tropical areas have water less dense), the amount of salt or salinity, and a thing called the Coriolis effect.

However, water does not swirl around like the way water swirls in the toilet. There is the thing called Continental deflection, wherein water deflects when it hits land.

Also, instead of swirling INWARDS  to the centre of the swirl (where it goes down the sink), water moves OUTWARD from the centre.

  6. Is it time for twilight zone on yahoo?...(just curious).

  7. yes
