Does the effect of veil of darkness work for dark world monsters card effect?

No, the effect of Veil of Darkness does not activate the effect of the Dark World monster line-up. This is because their effects require them to be "discarded", not sent.

"Veil of Darkness

Continuous Spell Card

During your Draw Phase, if you draw a DARK monster, you can reveal it and send it to the Graveyard to draw 1 more card.

Is actually sending the drawn card to the Graveyard a Cost?"

The drawn DARK monster is revealed to activate the effect. It is sent to the Graveyard when the effect resolves.

Person C:

But I'm guessing it doesn't work for Dark World monsters since you send cards, and not DISCARD them... right?

Person B:

The Dark World monster's effect would not activate, because it was not discarded.
