Does the engine help recharge the battery on dirt bikes / quads like it does on cars?

  1. I have owned all 3 & can tell you YES it does.

    Motorcycle's & Atv's that are equipted from the factory with a battery or electric start, have what is known as a "stator" it is like the alternator on you car except it is inside the engine (most cases)  internal.


  2. If the bike has a battery, surely the engine will recharge,

    If you are not sure is has a battery or not;

    1 it has button/hand start (besides kick start)

    2 horn or lights function when engine is not running (head light/break/signals etc)

    if one is yes, it has a battery and ofcourse will be charged by the engine,

    how it works is;

    as the auoto start there is a charging unit, the alternator/charger, the engine turns with a band, it produces electricity, and with the help of conjector this electricity is stabilized and stored in the battery for further use.
