  1. (x + 7) y = 7

    y = 7 / (x + 7)

    y is a function of x

  2. it can be defined as a function of x by solving for y:::

    xy+7y=7     ----  subtract xy over (((-xy)))

    -xy    || -xy

    7y = 7 - xy ---- then divide the y over

    / 7 || / 7            with (7- xy) / 7   the the 7 cancles out and leaves

    y = -xy

    then try to solve for y and it does not work

    so it seems not

  3. Yes!

    y(x+7)=7

    y=7/(x+7)

  4. no, but you can simplify it to one.

    y(x+7)=7

    y=7/(x+7)

    that is y as a function of x.

    make it a good day
