Does the expander make spaces between your teeth?

im getting an expander in a couple weeks and I dont have to get braces after because I just have a crossbite.I an really scared it will leave spaces

  1. I agree with the other answerer. If you were getting braces the expander would seperate your two front teeth, but since you aren't getting braces they will make sure there is no spaces left between your teeth.


  2. no. If your getting an expander, then no braces, they're just using it to fix whatever problem your teeth have. When i had an expander it made my teeth spread out, but no spaces. btw: it'll feel a little...okay, alot weird when talking for the first day.
