  1. It would be nice if we could go in and take the Junta out.  However, that would open a whole new set of problems.  I agree they should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.  A lot of aid has arrived, but a lot of it has be refused or hoarded by the Junta.

  2. I thought Burma went out with the British.

Not really, if their gov. won't help them, then I can't.

  3. YES,but our own Government can't help the people in the US.,  we are too  busy supporting immigrants !!! And that is VERY SAD.....

  4. Sad, isn't it?

But then, the Junta have killed & prosecute it's citizens before. What's 30,000 children to the heartless, incompetent fools?

There is nothing we can do except to pray for them. Hopefully, this time when there is an uprising there, they can throw the Junta off successfully.,,,,

  5. We've offered aid which the government won't accept. Same with china - they wouldn't accept our specialist teams...what l want to know is why do governments care more about image and control than their people?! l'm in the business of caring for people and yes it does make it hard to sit back and do nothing while others are suffering.

  6. Yes, such as adopt an 18-year old gal!

  7. Yes!! I think these junta members should be prosecuted for war crimes....as their actions are considered, in my opinion, crimes against humanity!

  8. I don't really feel that it is up to the U.S. to help these people.  It should be up to their government.  If they can't provide for their people, then they should ask for foriegn aid.  The situation is that the Burmese govt. can, but will not help their own people.  For this, I think the leaders of this govt. should be at the very least taken out of position of authority.
