Does the fact that Gov. Palin of Alaska is an avid hunter/fisherman and NRA Life Member help with your vote?

Does that make all the difference to you like it does me? I always knew that John McCain was on our side, but I feel like this just totally seals the deal.

  1. not a bit she is un experienced in the upper echelons of politics like Obama & Biden is , some people say dems are against firearms that's a myth they just dont see the need to have automatic weapons on the street , they understand that hunting has been & will be every ones privilege according to the constitution, so look to see who's been trying to take your rights away with cover, aka Patriot act. Dont let them buffalo you with false facts , they love using the scare method.

Remember Mccain has voted 90% of time for Bush's platform , so if you want another 4 years like the last 8 get prepared for the worst, check out what the supreme court did to Mccains best bill he produced (line item veto) they said it was unconstitutional.

  2. No, my vote is still the same, one for McCain.  I would truthfully rather be voting for Palin than McCain.  McCain is a Republican in name only when it suits him.

Palin brings a lot to the ticket.  The only candidate, both for POTUS and VPOTUS that has any executive branch experience.  Osoma, ur Obama keeps saying "change", but as his current job as US Senator (which he isn't doing) is the place to enact laws that will make change.

Palin has youth.  Youngest of the rest.  Not as Young As Teddy Roosevelt when the party made him VP to shut him up.  She is also the candidate less removed from the common citizen.

She has a heart breaking sob story of her youngest daughter with down syndrome.  Don't think that won't draw a few votes.

She's a woman.  This will go miles with the Hillory crowd that already say they will vote for McCain.

  3. It doesn't help BUT it doesn't hurt in the way that Obama or Biden's open hostility toward hunting or armed citizens does.

  4. Sarah Palin's wildlife policies reflect junk science and cripple the eco-tourism industry

Like many Alaskans, Palin believes that bears – and all Alaskan wildlife, exist for the sole purpose of serving humans. Sarah Palin, and the Alaska Board of Game whose members make decisions about most wildlife, are actively trying to cripple the bear viewing/eco-tourism industry in Alaska.

Several weeks before the controversial Katmai Preserve hunt, Palin posed deliberately next to a dead bear to a make a point – that she will do everything in her power to make sure bears and other wildlife are mercilessly shot for pleasure in Alaska. Palin supports the aerial hunting of wolves and bears, and even spent $400,000 of state money to fund a media campaign to try and convince Alaskans to support aerial shooting (even though Alaskans have voted against it, twice!).

In the past two years, bears habituated to bear viewing have reportedly been shot at bear viewing sites around the state – as a statement to bear advocates that Alaska is about shooting animals, not understanding them.

The Alaskan government consistently ignores decades of scientific research that has proven that predators actually keep prey populations healthy. The Alaskan government is wiping out entire populations of predators -using cruel practices such as baiting, trapping, and aerial shooting, in the name of boosting dwindling moose populations. This is just plain ignorant, since biologists have known since the 60’s that wolves and bears do not negatively impact prey species such as moose and caribou. Anyone who has taken ecology or biology 101 knows this is established fact. What is threatening moose and other prey species is over hunting by humans, and a large number of yearly road-kill fatalities. The impact of habitat destruction, climate change, and a decrease in predation also contributes.

If you find Sarah Palin as ignorant and offensive as I do, LET HER KNOW. The majority of people who visit Alaska do not support sport hunting and the destruction of wildlife! Most tourists come to Alaska to view wildlife, not to slaughter it. The best hope for Alaskan wildlife is for the tourists who fund the economy to make their wishes known loud and clear – that they do not support archaic policies which are destroying the Alaskan ecosystem. Alaska is the last place in the U.S. where humans have not gobbled up and destroyed the natural world. This unique place on the planet needs to be protected, and not allowed to continue to be nothing but a place where animals are trapped, and shot and skinned, and stuffed, and hung on a wall, or used as a rug to wipe your dirty feet. Tell Sarah Palin that bears are not rugs!

  5. I was decided already. The Anti-Constitution stance of gun-grabbing Democrats like Obama and Biden made my decision for me a long time ago.

Let's talk about lack of experience, or rather the lack of actual "executive experience". It's important, because while experience is a good thing in most circumstances, the quality of that experience revolves around being in a position in charge, accountable for all aspects of an operation.

Obama and Biden have almost no experience as an executive. Never been a mayor. Never been a governor. Never been in charge of even a small business operation. Sarah Palin has, all of those. Over 12 years of true executive experience and she has performed extremely well in all those roles.

I also like her because she is a reformer, a rebel and a Washington outsider. I like that she cleaned up Alaskan corrupt politicians, fellow Republicans. I like McCain a whole lot better for having the courage to pick her.

  6. There are so many reasons to like the lady. I would say her being an outdoors woman makes for an intreasting addition to her list of ability's. she has a head on her shoulders and isn't held back by polotical affiliations. I like the idea of someone with a brain and obvious common sence in not only in office but also when it comes to huntin and fishing.

  7. It sure doesn't hurt my feelings any!

I think she is a wise choice on numerous levels.

  8. It doesnt hurt anything a bit. Im not a one issue voter but the 2nd amendment is definately a priority.

  9. I wouldn't choose a president based on hunting or membership in a certain club.  I choose to vote based on issues, such as economy, defense, taxes, and such.  Yeah, I'm voting for McCain, but for different reasons than you.

  10. Absolutely --- I am a little perplexed by his choice but she should be a good choice.....

  11. it doesn't hurt,besides she's cute..
