Does the fact that I don't like Obama make me a raciest?

I think not but it seems that every black person I mention the fact that I don't care for him as a future president want to label me as raciest and i'm getting tired of it. i don't call blacks raciest if they don't like McCain. What's the deal here? is this a double standard?

No, it makes you human. Everyone has their own agenda and it is okay to not like Obama for any reason you deem reasonable. Don't worry about what other people think so long as you are comfortable with your decision.

No, it doesn't make you a racist.  I'm not going to vote for Obama either.  I think who people associate with tell you something about what they believe in.  It's way to much for me that Obama had that American hating pastor for so many years and that he also had associations with Weatherground terrorist William Ayers.  I also feel he doesn't have enough experience to be president and his ideals are extreme left.

I consider myself an Independent and the above is too much for me.

Not necessarily, but in the red state I live in there are A LOT of white folks who "ain't going to vote for no black man".  And these are democrats.  I've heard it first hand.

I don't think it makes you racist. As an African American, I would be concerned if you said your reason was because he was black or something along those lines. But I will assume it is simply because you don't care for where he stands on the issues which is pretty much your right.

It depends on your reasons why.  If you say you don't like Obama but don't give a reason, then of course black people will assume you are a racist.  Racism is the number one reason why someone would say they don't like a black person.  Now, if you give reasons like you think he is too liberal or you don't like his Iraq policy, then you are not a racist.  The problem with America's racist history is that Americans can't just say they don't like someone anymore; too many people will assume it's bigotry.  You need to have good reasons for why you don't like someone now.
