My boyfriend's brother bought the cigars. But then they never smoked them anyways!!

traditionally the father gives out cigars to his friends, however, these anti-smoking days people seldomly do that anymore!

Typically the father gets them but it will work either way.  For all those non smokers they have some really cute chocolates with the cigar wrapping at Sees Candies.

People bought us baby items, not cigars. We spent 9 months growing and nuturing the child..we're not going to kill him slowly with smoke now.

yes the father buys them and hands them out as if it was an anouncement. if you don't like the whole smoking thing you cna buy candied ones that are pink or blue

Its a dying trandition remeber fathers used to sit in the waiting room for the entire birth and just wait . it was commen for men to to smoke inn the waiting room and cigars were and still are considered a hgiher end product than cigerettes so naturally a new father would offer his friend cigar while they sat like"men: waiting.
