Obviously, this only applies to those of you who have never taken civic action.

  1. I have taken civic action before - participated in peaceful protests, etc.  What scares me away from most of them now is that they are so quick to pull out the riot gear and tear gas and tase everyone.  What's the point?  The govt. is going to do what they want anyway.  I just hope one day there will be some more honest people in office, who actually listen to voter's concerns.  So many people don't even bother to vote anymore, especially after what happened w/ the last presidential election.

  2. Why would you be scared of your own government? These people work for YOU,not the other way around. The government should be scared of the people. For example,if you join a protest, get your facts straight first. Don't join in because John or Jane Doe next to you did.

This country has really turned into a "Silent Majority" who never questions, just follows .

We act as if it's such a chore to vote or go on Jury Duty. Don't you ever wonder that there's  some useless jerkoff waiting in the wings ,ready to become another Fidel Castro ,or Hugo Chavez  and make himself"President for Life" because he knows he'll never be challenged?

One day you're not going to vote thinking that one didn't make a difference. THAT'S the day you're going to get what you deserve when the ability to vote gets abolished.

One day ,you're going to be arrested and charged for a crime you didn't commit and there won't be a jury  for you and the jury to see and hear all testimony against you because it's a "State Secret".

  3. The best way to change the system is to work from inside the system. Laws, after all, are made by those who participate.

  4. I'm a little bit scared at times, but I still butt heads with 'em every chance I get.
