It seems that way because they are creating more problems for themselves to "fix," by making it impossible for us to exercise our rights to freedom (speech, choice, etc.)

You see... The far-left liberals want the country to be in shambles, it gives them more power, and more control.

It is not that they are "stricter" simply that they have introduced so much unnecessary petty legislation. There are two reasons for this, the first is to fool the electorate into thinking they are actually DOING something. The second is simply for social control, but only for the law abiding as the criminal can get away with anything.

They are not finding more problems, they are simply failing to do anything constructive to deal with the current ones.  

This government is, simply rubbish.
