  1. You should bring it to the vet just in case.

  2. That is what happened with my newest Syrian hamster (Pickle). I was very worried too and I thought all the signs pointed to Wet Tail (exept for the solid droppings).

This was cured after about two weeks though (I don't know how, the wetness just... went!), so if I were you, I wouldn't feel that concerned. I think it might have just been bladder control as baby hamsters don't have much of it ;-)

  3. If he's wet anywhere all day, it means somethings up because they're naturally very clean animals. Pick up some "dri-tail" and dose him, if he doesn't have it it won't hurt him, and if he does it could possibly save his life. They usually develop it after being brought home from diet change & then stress from a new enviroment, so it'd be my guess that he does. They're tough little guys, so they'll act like nothings wrong until they get so bad off there's not much you can do. Treat him by the directions & keep and eye on him. If you changed his diet from whatever he was eating (@ I'm guessing the pet store) you can also feed him plain old fashioned oatmeal (uncooked) with rat block. (Is easier on the digestive track) and then once his stomach is straight, wean him back onto his normal food at 25% incraments. 25 food/75 oatmeal, 50 food/50 oatmeal, etc. Good luck & feel free to email if you have any questions. ^_^

  4. when our hamster got wet tail we didn't know till the diarrhea came and she died cause it was too late,I would suggest doctoring it....

  5. Yes, if you see any signs of wet tail treat it right away.

For food I suggest giving it food blocks and oats (uncooked oatmeal).

Also put pedialite in its water, this will help keep him hydrated.
