  1. The heart, has a mind of its own.

The mind, has a heart of its own.

It is on the individual to put these together to serve him/her the best.

If I had no other choice but to chose between those two, I would say the Heart.  I believe I would feel closer to Myself and Happier this way....

  2. The heart is ground, the mind grows upon it. Which would you lose first, your heart or your mind. Only in metaphorical description are heart and mind separate identities.

  3. Yeah I think the heart speaks better than the mind.

The mind tells you the most logical/sensible/practical thing to do!

The heart tells you want you really want to do forgetting all the negatives, the heart tells you want you want deep down.

True love is told from the heart =]

  4. The mind controls the heart, so what do you think

  5. When you say heart I think you mean your desires stemming from your instincts. It is not safe to ignore your instincts. You should use your reason to satisfy your instincts.

  6. They need each other...

    :-)

  7. Emotion and reason are two strands intertwined and neither can exist long without the other...

  8. Love is the ultimate in human heart, where the ultimate in the realms of the mind wonder. The beginning of love and of wonder is the silence of wordless thought, a speechless communion, in the case of the former, with another heart, and in the case of the later, with existence through its natural manifests. Love begins with a respect and reaches its ultimate in the union of souls, wonder reaches its ultimate when it returns back to the place it started first.

It is love alone that enables the mind to speak, when hearts come together with their souls aspiring for the same fulfillment, then along the way they speak, they speak to one another and counsel, and advise, recommend, encourage, instruct, suggest, and guide, console, comfort, calm, charm, and entices, enthrall, chide, scold, reproach, and reprove, admonish, plead, please, appeal, entreat, and beseech, they yearn and long for just one word to be said in response. When in love heart says it all, while mind is still in a state of confusion and disarray, dealing with its quandaries of reason, sorting its disentangled threads of logic, reserved for some worldly regards, confined to its expedient thoughts and enslaved by the world for the use of the world, but the heart is just for love, and in that love it speaks. It speaks of time, of place, of trial, of courage and human enterprise; it speaks of centuries of waiting, eons of living in anguish, of hope, of love, in its single moment of truth.

  9. A heart speaks no motive.

  10. What is called "heart" is actually your mind considering things from a broader perspective. The great historian  Arnold Toynbee once said that he always tried to get an overview of any task he had to accomplish before he looked to the details. This seems to me to be a good mental habit.

  11. theres a couple of old proverbs that go like this: dont let your heart rule your head .   and the other is : follow your heart and not your mind.basically you feel with your heart, and its how we cope with difficult situations and how we react.when it says dont let  your heart rule your head i think what its meaning is when you have a difficult decision to make it means dont be influenced by your feelings or emotions as opposed to your logic (which is your own common sense) when making your mind up.

your heart is your feelings and your head is the unbiased logical hypothertical look at a situation.

  12. Theoretically or literally? because the mind actually controls speech and therefore ultimately dictates what it is the heart can 'say' but theoretically the heart is the source of all true belief and emotion and therefore dictates how the mind perceives the world around it.

  13. Especially when it does not speak.

  14. my mind to me speaks better because when i leston to my heart it gets broken but when ileston to my mins it don't. My heart is fagile my mind I can teach!

  15. Good question!

Yes, I believe it does.  For the simple reason; the heart speaks the truth! :D

  16. heart is always better some time only financially lost i got peace of mind my heart always beater my mind so time selfish

  17. well, depends on which situation... like for example, if you're trying to figure out if a person is right for you in a relationship setting... then, you should do less thinking, and see how your heart feels about it,....

    but...

if you're stuck on a tricky math problem during a pop quiz at school... asking your heart won't do u much good, and you got to rely on you mind to figure it out.

    :)

  18. The heart speaks regarding emotion, while the mind speaks regarding reason. Since emotions can change dramatically depending on momentary circumstance, the mind is more reliable and trustworthy. In the heat of the moment, emotions cause people to act in ways that may be harmful to themselves and others...irrationally, i.e.,without reason. Young people tend to act more from emotion than reason. With age and experience, older people tend to act more from reason. That is why the saying, "If you don't vote liberal before the age of 40, you don't have a heart. If you don't vote conservative after the age of 40, you don't have a brain."

  19. When we speak from the heart the medium of communication

is silence,we talk with the being without leaving the being

    which is our source.

When we talk through the mind which is meant for communicating our experience we leave our souce.

  20. "Heart" is your true feeling and mind is what you think on the surface. True feelings can't help you with current work or whatever but it can help you with interaction with the world. The mind is a part of the key to live but it cannot do much with those magical things such as love. All matters exists for a reason, you will need everything that's given to you.

  21. The heart doesn't speak. It's the blood pump inside your ribcage. Your mind, which is you, speaks..........

  22. I think you will find that the organ primarily responsible for speech is the brain. The heart's only role is to supply oxygen to the cells of the body by pumping oxygenated blood. The heart therefore has no direct role in speech. However it should be noted that the capacity for speech would be greatly impaired if the heart was to stop functioning.

So the the short answer to you question is no.

  23. not better - comparisons are odious - all internal speech is useful and wen your internal system is n tune and co-operating  with each other sparks fly and the engine turns and you have lift off.

thanks for the wish - you too.

  24. Without emotion, I think, you would be horrid. If you were in a horrible situation and the only way to get out of it was killing someone, reason would tell you to and emotion would tell you not to. However in sports you need mind over emotion as you need not to feel physical pain, such as tiredness, but concentrate on how to play.

  25. One is not separate from the other. Let the heart speak through the mind. Let the mind speak not of the things of itself but of the things of not-self.

  26. HEART and MIND are TWINS

  27. The Heart is the most prominent organ is our body, so that itis the one which is responsible for all our gestures and our decisions, some people say that they feel sick in heart, because they have done something wrong, sins, Thus they feel that their hearts are very massive and are acheing them... The heart guides our minds, and has a  great impact on our thinking and on our life in general
