Does the high schools in the Philippines have winter/Christmas break?

If so can someone tell me when the high schools in the Ilocos Norte region start the break.How long is the break?

I am mainly looking for Bacarra-Laoag City high schools.

Yep before 16December for the first mass in December for Christmas all schools will start to have a break til New Year.

Schools in the Philippines have about a week long Christmas break that usually starts in the third week of December near Christmas eve and ends on New Year's Day. School year schedules are set by the Department of Education (DepEd) and for SY 2008-09 the Christmas break is scheduled to start on December 20, with classes resuming on January 5, 2009. Most schools (especially public schools) are likely to follow this schedule, but if they wish to deviate from it, they would need to inform DepEd in advance first. So the school you are looking for is likely to have their Christmas break during those dates.

Christmas breaks are usually about, 2 to 3 weeks. Semestral breaks are usually about a week. And one thing, the Philippines DOES NOT have winter, its a tropical country.
