Does the iphone dev teams new pwnage tool unlock the iphone 3g?

i thought the iphone dev team were going to release a programme to unlock the iphone 3g,instead they have release their pwnage tool which jailbreaks it. am i wrong does this new tool unlock the iphone 3g aswell?

no the pwnage does not unlock the iphone 3g. it's use is only for the 3rd party apps for now...unlocking of the 3g is to be released on the 25th of july...soo watch out for it

if u unlock or jail break it it is illegal call an apple store and they will tell u here is a number of one of them: 225-765-3500
