I have a previously owned iphone(one owner only) and i have trouble with the phone recognizing my touch. Previous owner is a guy and I'm a girl...just wanted to know if gender has anything to do with it.

*plus...i have short nails so i dont think that is a cause of my problems.

  1. The Iphone (and Ipod Touch) screens respond to the electrical current in your fingertips, not the pressure of your touch. It could be that your fingernails are contacting the screen instead of your fingertips.

If you can't get any response with your fingertips, then I'd say you have a faulty touchscreen.

  2. I figured with the first two answers, if I'm nice I will automatically get best answer.

There's no such thing as a stupid question. I just put up a riddle about Eggplants! :D

The Iphone will work for anyone, even if it was previously owned. You may have bought a broken phone.

  3. OMG, your dumb

  4. lol Nope it has nothing to do with it- it is not a finger print scanner. only a touch phone.  touch it harder
