Does the ipod classic play videos in the mpeg2 format?

i know they play mpeg-4 but i used a converter and it put the video in mpeg2 so i dont know because when i try to add it to itunes it does not show up.

  1. iPod accepts only MP4 format video,If your video isn't MP4 format, you need third party software to convert video to MP4, I always use wondershare iPod Converter Suite, it can easily convert video to ipod with high quality, that's really good, you can check it out here for free:
