Does the k1 visa time procedure depend on where the fiance is from?

Does it matter where you're from when u get the k1 visa? I'm from Holland. I talked to someone from China, she said 2 years, but China is bigger, and has more people.. does this matter at all?

yes, it does matter. when the interview has to take place, the local consulate/embassy has to arrange a date. if there is a lot of applicants from that country, the embassy is busy... and therefore might take awhile for them to arrange a date for you. if you come from a country where there isn't a lot of applicants, then the embassy will be able to give you an interview date immediately.

when i was in vancouver (canada), i think it only took somewhere about 6 months from start to finish for the k1.
